How to submit your application:

1)    Film a short video of yourself answering these five questions

  1. What has been your/your teacher/colleague’s biggest challenge to overcome academically during the pandemic? What is/was needed to overcome these challenges?
  2. What makes you/your teacher/colleague innovative?
  3. How have you/your teacher/colleague used technology to improve learning throughout the pandemic?
  4. How are you/your teacher/colleague measuring the effectiveness of these changes?
  5. What do you imagine the future of learning to look like? 

2)    Fill out an official entry form.

3)    Upload your video responses.

4)    Click the submit button.

 

Submissions will be made into conversational videos using AuraNexus technology (see below). The videos with the most votes will win our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place top prizes (in respective order) with additional prizes for 10 runner-ups.

  3. How are/were you measuring the effectiveness of this initiative?
  4. What makes you and your idea innovative?
  5. What do you imagine the future of learning to look like?

Filming Requirements:

  • All submissions will be turned into conversational videos (see above), so videos must be recorded with you center-frame, looking into the camera lens, and speaking in a conversational manner. Carefully read the directions below before filming.
  • Find a well-lit location and sit in a non-swivel, stationary chair.
  • Set up your phone/camera on a tripod – please do not hold it yourself.
  • Start your video by stating your full name and what you teach… “My name is_____ and I am a <list subject>  teacher/professor.”  If you are nominating someone, please state your name, the person you are nominating, and what they teach… “My name is ____ and I am nominating <teacher’s name> who teaches .”
    • Record yourself looking into the camera lens for 30 seconds. This clip will be used as your idle video that users will see between each question they ask.

Video Upload Requirements:

  • Should be no more than 5 minutes in length
  • Should be filmed on a smartphone, camcorder, or DSLR camera.
  • Must adhere to the following dimensions: 1080p, 16×9, 60fps (30 fps if 60 is unavailable)
